Traffic Management on the N24 Bansha Road roundabout:
- Phase 1, of 3 Phases to allow the safe construction of new kerbs and footpaths, at the N24 roundabout is complete.
- Phase 2, of 3 Phases to allow the safe construction of new kerbs and footpaths, at the N24 roundabout is due to be completed on Friday 14th March, with the new footpaths to be open to the public that afternoon.
- There will be no traffic management restrictions on the N24 Bansha Road roundabout from the afternoon of Friday 14th March until the morning of Wednesday 19th March.
- Phase 3 of the N24 roundabout works – will follow once Phase 2 is completed and this will complete underground, and footpath works at the roundabout. Works on this phase are currently planned to commence Wednesday 19th March and be completed Wednesday 26th March.
- Removal of existing road surface and laying of new road surface will commence late March/early April.
One-Way System:
- The current one-way system on Fr. Mathew Street will remain in place for another approximately 6-7 weeks to enable the safe construction of the new kerbs and footpaths in this area.
- Construction of the new footpaths on the northern side of Fr. Mathew Street / N74 will commence shortly and will run from the junction with Connolly Park and terminate at St. Michaels Cemetery.
St. Michaels Cemetery – Traffic Management: The traffic management (temporary traffic signals) at St. Michaels Cemetery is to be reintroduced on Wednesday 19th March to allow the safe construction of further works in this area.
