Scheme Overview
Tipperary County Council has appointed GLAS Civil Engineering Limited to carry out a road pavement rehabilitation scheme which also incorporates safety improvement measures.
This scheme is approximately 1250m in length and extends along the N74 through Fr Mathew Street in Tipperary Town. It commences at the Bansha roundabout, including a short section of the N24, and terminates in the vicinity of the 60kph Speed Limit at the eastern side of the town.

N74 Fr. Mathew Street Renewal Project: Traffic Management Update
N24 Bansha Road Roundabout:
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 of these works are complete
- Phase 3 works shall commence on Monday 24th March and are expected to be complete by Friday 28th March. As per the previous phases a Stop / Go temporary traffic signal system will be in place. The traffic signals will be operated manually during work hours and will operate on a timer outside of work hours.
- It is anticipated that the temporary traffic signal system will be removed from the roundabout at lunchtime Friday 28th March.
Cashel Road:
- The temporary traffic signals will be in place from Monday 24th March to Friday 28th March.
Fr. Mathew Street One-Way System:
- The one-way system is to remain in operation until the completion of the scheme.
