N74 Fr. Mathew Street Renewal Project; Upcoming Traffic Management

One-Way System:

• The current one-way system on Fr. Mathew Street will remain in place to enable the safe construction of the new kerbs and footpaths in this area.

N74 / Knockanrawley Road Junction:

• A 3-way temporary traffic light system will be put in place at the Knockarawley Road Junction. On Monday 7^th April and Tuesday 8^th April, the 3-way set up will extend from Knockanrawley Junction to Blackthorn Grove.

The set up will be shortened to extend from Knockanrawley Junction to just past the N74 Project site compound on Tuesday evening. This 3-way set up will remain through the weekend and until Thursday 17^th of April, when it will be removed for the Easter break.

N74 Fr. Mathew Street Renewal Project: Traffic Management Update

N24 Bansha Road Roundabout:

• Phase 1 and Phase 2 of these works are complete
• Phase 3 works shall commence on Monday 24^th March and are expected to be complete by Friday 28^th March. As per the previous phases a Stop / Go temporary traffic signal system will be in place. The traffic signals will be operated manually during work hours and will operate on a timer outside of work hours.
• It is anticipated that the temporary traffic signal system will be removed from the roundabout at lunchtime Friday 28^th March.

Cashel Road:

• The temporary traffic signals will be in place from Monday 24^th March to Friday 28^th March.

Fr. Mathew Street One-Way System:

• The one-way system is to remain in operation until the completion of the scheme.

Traffic Management on the N24 Bansha Road roundabout:

• Phase 1, of 3 Phases to allow the safe construction of new kerbs and footpaths, at the N24 roundabout is complete.
• Phase 2, of 3 Phases to allow the safe construction of new kerbs and footpaths, at the N24 roundabout is due to be completed on Friday 14^th March, with the new footpaths to be open to the public that afternoon.
• There will be no traffic management restrictions on the N24 Bansha Road roundabout from the afternoon of Friday 14^th March until the morning of Wednesday 19^th March.
• Phase 3 of the N24 roundabout works – will follow once Phase 2 is completed and this will complete underground, and footpath works at the roundabout. Works on this phase are currently planned to commence Wednesday 19^th March and be completed Wednesday 26^th March.
• Removal of existing road surface and laying of new road surface will commence late March/early April.

One-Way System:

• The current one-way system on Fr. Mathew Street will remain in place for another approximately 6-7 weeks to enable the safe construction of the new kerbs and footpaths in this area.
• Construction of the new footpaths on the northern side of Fr. Mathew Street / N74 will commence shortly and will run from the junction with Connolly Park and terminate at St. Michaels Cemetery.

St. Michaels Cemetery – Traffic Management: The traffic management (temporary traffic signals) at St. Michaels Cemetery is to be reintroduced on Wednesday 19^th March to allow the safe construction of further works in this area.
